Between unusual materials and signature techniques

To bring to life to its aesthetic vision, Vhernier innovates by creating new forms, using unusual materials and developing innovative crafting techniques, carried out with great expertise by the Master Craftsmen.

The gold that Vhernier uses, 18KT and always certified, is exclusively rose or white. The rose one is one of the hallmarks of the house: its shade was created with the desire to enhance every skin tone. A specific artisanal way of hand-casting gold and polishing metal allows Vhernier to create large mirror-like surfaces without the slightest porosity.

It is one of Vhernier’s most beloved unusual metals, having been among the pioneers of its use in jewelry. Extremely durable, it allows to create important yet light volumes. Its intense and unique nuance, which Vhernier offers in a matte finish, is a groundbreaking innovation achieved through over two years of research.

The diamonds are strictly natural, F+, VVS. The diamonds in Vhernier pavés are set with only two prongs, instead of the more conventional 4 griffes: the result of an exceptional craftsmanship that allows even the curved sculptural shapes of the creations to be covered with stones. The surfaces then become velvety, compact, and extraordinarily bright.

Rock crystal, a transparent variety of the silica mineral quartz that is valued for its clarity and total lack of colour or flaws, is used by Vhernier for Trasparenze, one of its signature techniques. It features an overlay of mother-of-pearl, rock crystal, and coloured gemstones such as jade, turquoise, lapislazuli and it creates extraordinary colour effects, enhancing the sculptural design of the jewellery.

Vhernier further showcases its boldness by incorporating materials such as bronze, ebony, jet and alluminum, which the Maison has succeeded in making matte, pearlescent, and soft to the touch.
